The marl terraces of the Vipava hills are warmed by the Mediterranean sun and cooled by the Vipava bora, thus creating unique conditions for the growth of vines. Here, on the southern slopes of the Vipava Valley, domestic varieties that have adapted to these special growing conditions have always thrived. And we respect that decision of nature. On the Štokelj estate, which lies among the best wine-growing locations, we cultivate vineyards with gratitude for the space and respect for the unique conditions and opportunities that our locations offer. We treat the heritage of the traditional Vipava farm thoughtfully and sustainably – so we swear by local varieties, because we want our wines to taste mineral marl, mountain sun and Vipava bora in its most authentic form.
